BLKBURN is shaped by a small collective of designers and creatives united by a shared appreciation for history and design.
CREATIVE
TRINH founded BLKBURN after a career in fashion design working with Joseph Abboud, Phillip Lim, Adam Lippes and Perry Ellis. With over three decades spent collecting military surplus and wartime ephemera, his work explores the intersection of history, utility, and craftsmanship. BLKBURN reflects that perspective, reconstructing authentic military garments into timeless pieces.
STRATEGY
GROSSMAN oversees Brand Strategy. With over 20 years of experience spanning the entertainment and fashion industries, including leadership roles at Columbia Records, he brings extensive expertise in brand development, strategic partnerships, and retail growth. His work has helped place products with retailers including Barneys New York, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Fred Segal.
MERCHANDISING
DORRELL brings over 20 years of experience in luxury retail, including serving as a buyer at Saks Fifth Avenue and holding leadership roles with Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH). His expertise in merchandising, product strategy, and the luxury consumer helps guide BLKBURN's collections from concept to market, balancing creative vision with commercial insight.
VISUALS
CONNOLLY has spent more than 20 years working across fashion branding, advertising, and creative direction. With experience at Nautica and a background leading creative teams and brand campaigns, he brings a refined understanding of visual communication to BLKBURN. His work helps shape the studio's identity across print, digital, and product.
